Jesus IS Lord
‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
May all who love this city prosper.’
-- Psalm 122:6
Who is Jesus?
"I am the way, the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me."
"I assure you, I am the gate for the sheep," he said. "All others who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. Wherever they go, they will find green pastures. The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, "I demand in the name of the living God that you tell us whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God."
Jesus replied, "Yes, it is as you say. And in the future you will see me, the Son of Man, sitting at God's right hand in the place of power and coming back on the clouds of heaven."
"That night some shepherds were in the fields outside the village, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terribly frightened, but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news of great joy for everyone! The Savior--yes, the Messiah, the Lord--has been born tonight in Bethlehem, the city of David!"
"For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed." Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They all have the same Lord, who generously gives his riches to all who ask for them. For "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Will you invite Jesus into your life?
Jesus told us "I am the Way" and many of us choose not to believe Him. Jesus fulfilled over 300 Messianic Prophecies written in Old Testament
Scriptures. The evidence for His crucifixion on the cross, the empty tomb three days later, and His appearances to over 500 eye-witnesses after his resurrection is very compelling. With the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the reliability of the Septuagint version of the Old Testament, both of which have been proven to exist prior to the time Jesus walked on the earth, you can be assured that these prophecies were not after-the-fact "conspired". They were truly fulfilled by the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
Most people aren't afraid of Jesus... No, it's the Christian they fear. Throughout history, Christians have shown themselves to be anything but Christ like. Pagan rituals, money, power, hypocrisy, over-zealous preachers - do these represent a true image of Jesus Christ and who He wants us to be? No. But Jesus didn't tell us to follow man and religion. He said to follow Him.
We were directed to pray for our religious leaders, listen to what they say, then seek verification by comparing it with Scripture. If it's not of the Bible, it's not of Jesus.
Jesus told us "I am the Truth" and many don't believe Him and have conceptualized their own concept of truth. Truth has been redefined, and changes daily. However, Jesus through His Word - the Bible - has given us absolute truth. Today, with archaeological, historical and manuscript evidence, we have more reason to deny the authenticity of Aristotle, Plato and Homer than we do the Bible. Do you seek Truth? Is it important to you? Do you wonder how you can discover the truth? Matthew 7:7 tells you how - "Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Paul says it all in Philippians 3:8 "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."
Jesus - He Is Who He Says He Is
Jesus is unique. Was He telling the truth? Was He crazy? Was He good or evil? All confess He was a good man, so how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? Logically, He can't. Therefore there is only one conclusion - Jesus was telling the truth. Jesus is who He said He is. Jesus is the Son of God - The Way, The Truth and The Life.
Jesus IS the Word
"In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."
God is offering a Free Gift of Life to you and to everyone who comes before Him. To receive His Gift of Salvation and Eternal Life, believe in Him and speak to Him with a true and open heart.
God expects us to give Him leadership over our lives and to let Him nurture and guide us. God doesn't want to control us. If that were the case, He wouldn't have given us a free will. He's telling us to take Him or leave Him, it's up to us, but life will be better with Him. Not an easy thing to do? But it is.
When you were a young child, you didn't worry about food or clothing or household payments. You trusted your parents to look after your every need -- without question. Transfer that child-like faith to God. He is your Eternal Father and infinitely greater than your earthly father. Once you do, His Holy Spirit will begin the transformation process, and the peace you will experience is... Awesome. That's the only word I can think of to express it.
You'll probably still have problems and hardships, but now you'll approach them with a new and different heart, and you'll find the right solutions.
If you continue to seek Jesus and build your relationship with Him, constantly drawing closer to Him, He will open your eyes to the truth and you will begin to see as you have never seen before. A wonderful truth that will guide you and enable you to find solutions and have a better understanding of life's problems. You won't always understand the solution, but in retrospect you will see that He has safely lead you, step by step, through to victory.
Prayer For Salvation and Eternal Life
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Lord Jesus, I believe that you are Lord, and that God raised you from the dead. Please come into my life. In Jesus Name, Amen and Amen. Hallelujah!!
That's all there is to it. Use your own words but say what you mean and mean what you say. Tell Jesus what's on your mind. This prayer is only a guideline. Jesus loves you; God loves you; The Holy Spirit loves you and is anxiously waiting to help you. If you love them, TELL THEM! You will be blessed with a peace and joy that's impossible to describe. Even during the tough times - even when you think life couldn't be worse. In Jesus, your worst day will be better than your best without Him. Just say Lord, help me! And He will. It still pierces my heart when I think about the sacrifice Jesus made for us; God made for us!
Our cleansing has come at a very high price; it wasn't free. Jesus loves you so much, He willingly suffered through satanic temptation, human frailties and an inhuman physical "death" so that we could choose to have eternal life and right-standing with the Father. Because of the blood of Jesus, God doesn't see our imperfections. He only sees the perfection of Jesus.
It also cost God the life of His Only Son to save us. God loves us that much. Thank Him now and always.
Now, your New Life in Jesus Christ finally begins! LET the Holy Spirit guide you. He's standing by impatiently waiting for you to ask Him. HE loves you that much! You will come under attack -- probably now more than ever before! -- there's no escaping it! Satan does NOT want you to have a happy and full life. But never forget: “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won your fight with these false prophets, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (I John 4:4)
Read, Read, Read your Bible. Find a version you feel comfortable with and can understand. I choose The New Living Translation, but you may prefer the New King James or King James versions. It doesn't matter. EVERYTHING you could ever need, every tool, is there! The more you read your Bible, the more God will make clear to you. Before you begin your readings, just as the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and help you to see as He would have you see.
May God Bless You Bountifully!
Put On the Armor of God!
"Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! No, I came to bring a sword."
Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing
firm. Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put
on the peace that comes from the Good News (Jesus), so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle you will need
faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the
sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.
